El Zorro Picture Post.

Here it is, my very first picture post (and commentary) of El Zorro: La Espada y la Rosa. May not be dial up friendly.



Like I said, this novela is filled with beautiful women EXCEPT the lead (Esmeralda). I have scrounged the internet looking for pictures of them out of their respective roles and here they are (along with them in costume):

1. Luly Bossa (plays Almudena, Esmeralda's aunt).




2. Andrea Lopez (plays Mariangel, Esmeralda's evil step sister).





3. Andrea Montenegro (plays Maria Pia, Diego/Zorro's aunt).




4. Ivelin Giro (plays Maria Luisa, the Queen of Spain, also has a brief appearance in Bad Boys II).




5. Adriana Campos (plays the indian Yumalay, is my personal favorite).




Then there's Marlene Favela (Esmeralda) who just doesn't convince me:

Hm. Esmerelda is sort of pretty in that picture in costume, but in the others, not so much. The first one's a bad smile (or barely one at all) so it distorts her face and the second one she's over made-up so it's all...fake-ish. If she keeps her face in that sort of whimsical "hmm, I'm daydreaming" stance all the time, she wouldn't have a problem, haha.

But I officially want that bodice...

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that the costumes are awesome! Especially the gypsies.

No problem. I understand spanish very well (speaking it is a different story), but for the non-spanish speaking it's subtitled in English!! If you turn the captions on you can easily follow along.

I did that! I still got spanish subtitles. I am the same way - I can read and listen better than speaking.

So happy Ifound someone in Lj wholikes it!
For me the most beautifull of all was Almudena (Lully Bossa) And I also agree with you about Yumalai, Mariangel and Maria Pia.
I ve got an autographed Marlen Favela photo, though.
And I communicated with Osvaldo Rios via yahoo Telemundo Forum.
Zorro rocks. Itis one of the best telenovelas I ve ever seen.

Almudena was beautiful wasn't she? Luly Bossa has such beautiful eyes! I loved the costumes a lot, I thought the dresses were beautiful.
